Who we are
Rotaract Club of Chennai Comrades brings together young professionals, students and changemakers aged 18–30. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Madras North under Rotary International District 3233, we design and deliver community projects, run professional development sessions, and build lifelong friendships — the Rotaract way.
Projects across environment, education and health that respond to real needs in Chennai.
Every comrade leads something — a committee, a project team or an entire avenue.
Workshops, mentorship and skill labs that translate directly into careers.
Friendships built across colleges, workplaces and clubs — the reason comrades stay.
Club theme 2026–27
“Dream boldly, climb together, conquer what matters.”
Dream to Conquer calls every comrade to turn ambition into action — scaling personal and professional peaks together, and letting Service Above Self guide where we plant our flag.
Club leadership
The two officers who steer the club year — setting direction, keeping the calendar honest, and making sure every comrade has something meaningful to work on.
Rotary Year 2026–27
As President for 2026–27, Rtr. M S Selva Kumar leads Chennai Comrades across every avenue of service — setting the club's direction for the year, representing it within Rotary International District 3233, and working with the board to take projects from idea to delivery under the theme Dream to Conquer.
Rotary Year 2026–27
As Secretary, Rtr. Subha keeps the club running — minutes, membership records, attendance and district reporting, along with the calendar that holds our projects and meetings together. She is a first point of contact for anyone looking to join Chennai Comrades.

Become a Comrade
Rotaract is Rotary International's movement for people aged 18–30 who want to lead, serve and grow together. Chennai Comrades is where that happens in this city — through projects you design, run and see through.
Chair a project, run a committee, lead a team. Every comrade gets a real portfolio, not a title on paper.
Connect with 30,000+ Rotaractors across District 3233 and Rotarians who mentor, hire and collaborate.
Environment, education, health and livelihood projects with tracked outcomes — not one-day photo ops.
Workshops on public speaking, project management, design, finance and personal branding through the year.
District conferences, inter-club sports, retreats, installations and the fellowship that keeps it fun.
Access to global grants, international twin-club projects and Rotary's worldwide programmes.
Membership is open to students and working professionals across Chennai. No prior Rotary connection needed.
Fill the form below — it takes about two minutes.
Our Membership Chair reaches out within a week for a friendly chat.
Sit in on a club meeting or join a project as a guest.
Get inducted as a comrade, choose your avenue and start serving.
Anyone aged 18–30 living, studying or working in and around Chennai. Students and working professionals are both welcome.
Yes — a nominal annual fee covers Rotary International and district dues plus club administration. The Membership Chair will share the current amount during your onboarding conversation.
Two club meetings a month plus the projects you choose. Most comrades give three to five hours a month, and more during a project they are leading.
Not at all. Most comrades start with no experience. You will be paired with a project team and a mentor from your first month.
